Pick a PDF and hit Convert. Real layout-aware extraction (not a naive text dump) finds actual chapter headings, strips running page headers/footers, footnote markers, and in-text citations - a References/Bibliography section is kept in the epub (useful for a real reader) but tagged so a narration app can skip reading it aloud.

Plain .txt files work too - chapters are found from title-style heading lines in the text itself (e.g. an all-caps story title on its own line). No page-header/footnote/ citation cleanup runs on .txt input, since that's tuned specifically for PDF extraction artifacts.

Both PDFs and .txt files can be messy - real conversions have found real bugs before. Once a conversion finishes, its actual chapter list shows here so you can sanity-check it before sending the epub anywhere for a long, expensive audiobook conversion.

Not supported yet - natural-text, single-column PDFs only for now. Both are real planned additions, not abandoned.

The Prepare audiobook tab opens any EPUB in the built-in editor. Review the chapters, remove material you do not want narrated, save, then continue straight to Wombat Narrates. It works for an EPUB from anywhere, not only ones made here.
